a very vogue halloween

2016 has been a hell of a year. From this crazy election, to this clown epidemic, and losing what seems like so many icons, this year has been one for the books. I've piled together a few looks that are sure to make a statement this Halloween, with fashion in mind. There's always a way to enhance your look. You can make ANYTHING look like a Vogue editorial if you try hard enough, see for yourself.

1) Lady Lagerfeld

Who doesn't love Karl? And of course, his adorable cat Choupette.

2) Joanne the Scammer

ICONIC. Honestly & truly. Bring some scam into your life with this ensemble. And yes, the flip phone is mandatory.

3) Cher Horowitz from Clueless

21 years after it's release, Clueless (still on Netflix thank god) remains a pop culture phenomenon that brings the world back to the 90's. Nobody does it quite like Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, but this look can still be recreated today.

4) Amy Winehouse

Ugh. Such a legend, gone much too soon. You might not have a fraction of the amount of talent that she does, but you can still rock an iconic Amy look, complete with full-on beehive hair and winged eyeliner. (Also, I highly suggest watching the documentary "Amy" on Amazon Prime)

5) Frida Kahlo

WHAT a woman, let me tell you. Such an iconic look. As an artist, a Mexican patriot, and a feminist, this woman is worth showing appreciation for during any year, especially one with such a focus on social justice. (There's also a cool movie about her life starring Salma Hayek)

6) Chanel Oberlin from Scream Queens.

I've had about three close friends tell me to watch this show, and just based on the fashion alone, it's definitely on my to do list.

7) Stevie Nicks.

A multigenerational heartbeat of women and girls far & wide. Her look is beyond fun to pull of before, during and after Halloween.

8) David Bowie

Pay tribute to this visionary & revolutionary icon who was an inspiration to the music & fashion world.

9) Prince

Prince was a style icon defying gender norms and merging the two worlds of fashion and music with his persona. (If you haven't seen Purple Rain...wyd)

10) The Spice Girls

If you have enough friends to pull this off, PLEASE DO. (Also why is Spice World not on Netflix???)

11) Iris Apfel

A business woman, an interior designer, & a fashion industry icon, all at the age of 95. Check out her self-titled documentary to learn all about this stylish lil woman.

12) The Life of Pablo

Celebrate your inner Kanye.

You can find the details for all of these looks on my Polyvore!

Keep in mind...there are literally cheaper alternatives for all of these items all over the place, so don't get discouraged on your first search.

If you end up actually dressing up as one of these, show Jenna Inc. some love when you post your outfit on insta.
